I am still undecided as to what direction to go. Ironically I think the Sienci Longmill is my top choice right now. I don't have a lot of time for building. I wish there was someone in Southern Alberta that has a Longmill so I could look at one of these in person. Also the same for a print NC.
David I am always interested in your projects. You mentioned before you had built this. If you were to sum things up what do you think the time and $$'s you have invested amounted to? Time is at a premium for me. I have come to realize just like most others the $$'s are as well.
Those Shapeoko are a nice machine, especially with the ball screws. Out of my play money budget right now though. Keeping my eyes open for a used machine.
It all started with a little 3018, then I went with a MPCNC, then a Genmistsu 4040 (still have this one) and a FoxAlien Masuter pro. I have learned more of what I like for what I am doing but now I want bigger. I am interested in finding a used Onefinity machine now. Would look at others as well...
Thank fellas, I actually have looked there but it seemed like it added up quickly once you had your parts and the shipping for something that you are not sure if it is going to work on not
Looking at making my own version of the baja no-pinch tire installation tool. Like this one here
https://www.amazon.ca/BAJA-NO-PINCH-1001-Motorcycle/dp/B00J41H2DO $227 for the basic kit or $391 for the deluxe
That incentivizes me to try to make something based on the same principles. So where...
Yes I already have a MPCNC project. Basically I am starting from scratch and pulling everything apart to make it smaller and more rigid. I seem to have a lot of bearing clearance on the trucks and core right now as well.
