A 2x72 grinder is on my list as well, and I go back and forth between jer's plans or a housemade kit, or wondering whether I could make do with a vevor unit, which strikes me as a pretty cost-effective entry point at $1100 for a 2hp/vfd package (assuming they get back in stock).

I don't know about a 'good' setup, but it's 'a' setup, at least...

I'd placed an alert on Bidspotter for an Excello right angle milling head and I had two pop up on me right around the same time. I placed some bids and ended up winning both lots. The auctions were in the NE US, and I'm in western Canada, so by the time I paid auction fees, 3rd party picking...

I bought a motor starter a while ago because I thought a switch on my mill drill was wonky, but that ended up not being the issue. This motor starter has never been used and has been collecting dust on my shelf ever since...

A bit of venting post. I get the odd email from bidspotter about upcoming auctions and seeing as one came up in Calgary I thought I'd have a look. But man, these fees are bonkers. Every item has rigging fees on it, starting at $25. I'm not sure what kind of advanced rigging they're needing for...

This looks to be one of the free lathes listed earlier, so not exactly a deal, more like a good tidy profit... And yet, it somehow looks in worse condition now -- Maybe dropped in transport? The chip guard is all bent now...
