Thanks susquatch. Yeah, I didn't like the brass tipped screws at nait. It was marking my existing barrels more than I wanted. I was thinking of making some with plastic but just haven't found any plastic to use or looked into any. I figured this could get me going.

I won't be making barrels but I plan on threading tenons, muzzles and chambering barrels. Mostly for myself and friends but wouldn't mind trying to make more of a go at it.

It's am inline 3 cylinder Kubota diesel engine. Not sure it's hp rating. Talking more with Rob and he thinks the motor on the lathe is pooched or something else. So back to trouble shooting.

Rob is the owner of the shop that rebuilds electric motors that is helping me out. He's sourced me a 3 phase motor and is giving me a vfd for free. I still got some measuring to do to see if the motor will fit, so far it looks like it will.

My other yard lights I replaced to led when those big bulbs burnt out and are either costly or hard to find. I was waiting for this last one to burn out to swap with an led but now that I turned it off, that won't happen. So I just need to swap it out.
