  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     2x4 on each side would be 3.5+3.5+1.5=8.5 - 5.5deck board=3 /2 =1.5 each side to fasten end of deck board. Id say thats fine, people often join deck boards on a joist where they only sit on .75

    I just got one of these at auction for $5 :) Have two others, one for wd40, one for solvent/varsol. I had tried straight up rust chek in one but it was too viscous. Not sure how viscous fluid film is but perhaps thinning it with varsol would work. They seem to work great as long as the fluid...

    Ive been going crazy with shelving for this thing. Cedar flooded with a solution of ferrous sulphate, dried, flooded with dark thread cutting oil. 14 mt4 holes, 14 mt3 holes, 14 mt2 holes and many more.

    So from 2.8 to 28 ipm on a 3 inch 56 tooth in mild with cutting oil. Saw loses temper when it turns blue lol. I'd be trying like 5 to start.
