    Force RF45 Clone Parts

The King KC-45 is a similar machine, they have a parts diagram with pricing on their website. I don't know about dealers in the Calgary area but I am certain there is one. In London Ontario, parts can be purchased/ordered through Federated Tools.

    making a D1-4 chuck backplate

.004" TIR is easy to deal with. Loosen the bolts that hold the chuck to the back plate, move the chuck until it runs true, tighten bolts. If the chuck is too tight on the backplate shoulder to come true, machine the the diameter of the shoulder down a couple thousand until you can move the chuck...

    Tool Cool inside mics

They work well for their intended purpose. The downside is cost, they are very expensive and have a small diameter range, therefore you need to have many different ones to cover a wide range of hole sizes. If you are doing production jobs where you are measuring one hole size all day the cost...

King Milling Drilling Machine, $1900, Niagara Falls, ON

The ability to hold larger dimensional pieces is true, however, on smaller mills the larger vise limits the y travel as the front of the vise makes contact with the column. It also hangs far over the table on the handle end, blocking the dials and making the hand wheels difficult to use.

I just scored a bridgeport head, and right angle attachment accessories

I bought some items from a older gentleman in Waterloo that was down sizing. He has a Jackson No2 vertical mill that he was considering selling. Looking at some photos, that style of mill may be a candidate.

    Locked Cabinets At Canadian Tire

Our local CT is the same, most tools are locked and staff is difficult to find. If I need anything, I find it easier to order online for pickup. Don't have to deal with staff, just pull up, pick up then go home.

    Deckel FP1, $750, Hamilton, ON

It was a legit listing, I spoke with the seller. He seemed like a stand up guy. He told me people had offered more than asking but refused because he wanted to offer it to the first person to respond. I was second inline if the first person passed. It was removed from a shop in St Catharines and...

    Best 10" lathe?

When looking at new 10" bench top lathes you really only have Craftex and King, unless you are willing to ship in a Grizzly, PM or some other Chinese made machine. Sure you can still buy a new Emco, Schaublin or Weiler but it does not sound like that is what you are after. Between the two brands...

    Tool South Bend 9A screws?

I have to disagree, the conversion is not that difficult or expensive (depending on what is expensive to you). If I understand correctly, the leadscrew and gearbox are imperial but the compound and cross slide are metric. First I would measure the thread on the two screws to make sure they are...

    Up coming auction.

In one of his previous videos Josh Topper said the owner had undergone chemotherapy for some sort of cancer. Before that the shop was useful and under control, after the chemo is when the "hoarding" began. He eluded to some altering of his brain chemistry, who knows, maybe he saw the end coming...

    CA-ALL Wanted-Source for 2024-T3 Bar stock

Aircraft Spruce has a store in Brantford near the airport, if you are close. I have purchased 6061 round bar from them many times. The pricing on popular sizes is good and you can buy by the foot.
