I believe it is a circa 1910 Ames Precision Bench Milling machine with the vertical parts fabricated by a very skilled mchinist.

I acquired a bench top milling machine built by B. C. Ames in Waltham Massacheusetts. Unfortunately there is no model or serial numbers. I believe it is a frankenmill converted from horizontal and fitted with a vertical spindle.
