    Shoulder check

Interesting responses and not what I was hoping for as suggestions to fix the problem. The re-testing idea is just a first step. There are many things that can be done to reduce traffic crash deaths and injuries. Just look up the nationwide traffic deaths and you will see how much more of a...

    Shoulder check

I shoulder check when appropriate for the traffic volume. I am always aware of who is behind me with frequent mirror checks. Does anyone find it strange that in BC we have almost one crash death per day, month after month and year after year and the government does nothing? If 60 people died...

Kpchbin ik62 lathe, Mcdougall auction, Carlyle, SK

Not exactly, $6100 plus commission and taxes and maybe rigging fees. The large oil stain under the headstock looks like it might be a problem. The machine looks neglected and never had oil on the ways. $1000 would have been more than I would pay.

DSG 1709 lathe, $5000, Brantford, ON

Yes, nice lathe. Why are sellers so lazy? The ads are free not like when you had to pay per word in the classifieds?? How about voltage and motor HP. Tooling? Got a way to lift it?

Just the other day I needed to cut a plug to 1.388” and that is easy on a metal lathe but not so easy on a wood lathe. Not sure if you have done this but I would have made a two piece rectangular block and then...

Best Product to Use for Fillets and Curves in a Simple Aluminum Pattern

Very difficult to help with details without a side and top view or standard 3 view drawing. I think I know what you want but….. Personally for so few castings I would use solid hardwood like eastern maple but I have a full woodwork shop so it is pretty easy for me to do that. Most foundry...

Wanted: milling vertical spindle motor - Victoria BC

I have a two speed 3 phase 220 volt motor with a flange mount. No idea if it will fit your machine. It came from a large German drill press and I think it is 3hp but it might be 5hp. Will have to check if you are interested. I am located in Duncan. Cheers, Michael

    not able to login

If you don’t log in for a while does the system shut down your membership? Also there is no way to contact anyone without logging in? Can you see the catch 22 with that scenario? I just had to register again with a new handle and email address. My previous login handle was M. Moore. Sorry...
