    Making louvers

A bit of both. After you lay out what you like. Punch the first one. The second will locate on the edge of the die. Just have to line up the center line.

    Making louvers

I made the louver dies to squish the panel flat when it bottoms out. No rework was necessary. Yes, I made the panel first. That way I could lay them out and make sure I was happy with the pattern and position. Very important when building cars. The tape measure may say it's right but the eyes...

    Making louvers

I'm guessing only a couple of tons. The panels I made are 18 gauge and they go in pretty easy. Mind you it is a 50 ton press brake.

    Pro tools 105 bender - $350 - Ptbo, On

Sold, I missed it. I would have bought it just for the 2" die. I already have one those benders, but could use a couple more dies.

Punching them. If I tried to precut them, I know every one would be crooked and different.;) Yes, the press brake is very handy.

    Making louvers

I've wanted a louver press for a long time now. Unfortunately the price of the dies is way out of reach for me to just to have around. I built a press break a few years back, so I have the squishing means to do it. Just needed to figure out a cheap way of making dies. To the scrap pile for an...

    Show us your shops!

Just got the electrical upgraded in my shop. 200A Been a year here now. Quonset hut was here and insulated (some what). It's 3 times the size of my old shop. I would never recommend a quonset hut shop, but it came with the property. The price of building new these days scares me.

North America Cork sheet or similar for large drawer liners.

If you know a trucker, see if you can get some Load secure friction mats. When ever I got off loaded just threw them out or an pile. I picked up a bunch when I was over the road for my tool box. Better than the originals I got with my Snap-on box!!! friction mats

    2" X 72" belt grinder

A friend of mine said it was worthy of powder coating, so he offered to do it for me. I know, should have painted the motor too.

    2" X 72" belt grinder

Had to order a part. I needed a tracking wheel, they have a slight crown to them to keep the belt centered. I had found a caster wheel that had a perfect and crown but when I got it. It was to heavy and the bearing wasn't up to par. To keep things moving I just ordered one from EBay. It came...
