    Welcome to the forum. Best of luck with the renovations and the machine move. I have a 9” utilathe and love it. Only lathe I have ever owned or used other than a brake lathe and that is not the same.

    Interesting. My house is done in PEX A. When I spliced into it for the basement renovation about 9 years ago I used what he is calling PEX B. I used brass fittings and copper crimp rings. No leaks so far and no pressure issues.

    I would think 1/4" plywood should work fine in the dimensions you are talking about if you use a joint like below (I use the one labelled 'B'). this would be for the bottom. This is how i have done all my drawers and I don't have any sag so far. Some small drawers I used 1/8-1/4" hardboard...
