I was just about to put this cheap drill press gizmo in my recycling pile, but thought I could give it another chance. I had this gizmo for more than 30 years and never used it. Hopefully this mod will save it from going to the metal scrap. 3D printed some brackets for the soldering iron. I now...

    Fixerup patch up

I used up my last bandsaw blade for my Craftex B2442. I had a good stock of longer bandsaw blades ~ 142''. So I cut them to 64 3/4'' which is about the maximum blade lenght my saw can accommodate. At that lenght I might also have a second chance to repair if they were to break. I did a angle...

    Fixerup patch up

I had this glass suction lifting bar and the rubber cups became really hard and no longer held vacuum. Decided to recycle it into a 1 1/2' round die holder, which I did not have. Enlarged the hole and added 2 grub screws and handle. A nice enjoyable hour spent in the shop making a super simple...

For a lantern tool post setup .004" is plenty good enough. If i was to make another one, I would like it to be able to reach the tool bit in the final position. Now i set the tool height , then swivel the tool holder to align the tool cutter to the work piece and finally lock down the lantern...
