  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Light bulb master copy for mould

Hello Yes, that is exactly what I want! Im an perfectionist - so if Im going to make a mold of an item, I want the mold to be perfect. Why, cuz all the items I get from the said mold will also be perfect and require little to no touch up work. Faster and easier to get to the finished product.

Light bulb master copy for mould

Hi Peter, and thank you for the reply. Yes, that project is mine, it's a solid resin lightbulb (no glass) but I did manage to keep the filament inside and add the anchor hook. Because of the imperfections of the one I made, I wish to make a better more perfect copy of it including the anchor...

Light bulb master copy for mould

Hello I wish to get a master copy of my Light Bulb Wall Hook made on a lathe so I can make a mould of it and then replicate them easily to sell. http://www.instructables.com/id/THE-ULTIMATE-LIGHT-BULB-WALL-HOOK/ Aluminum or metal, whatever is cheaper, easier, would leave the best finish. Once...

    Hi everyone :~)

Hi Kris, I checked out Metal Supermarkets close to my work, the 2" square stainless tubing was about 11 bucks a foot. Don't think I would need more than 30 ft worth. Not sure on my design yet, but pretty much a basic rectangle headboard frame, with glass stand-offs in the middle holding the...

Hi Eric, glad you like the light bulb. Took months trying to get it to work for me and I almost gave up, but persisted and it finally paid off. If you look to the right on that Instructables link, you click just below, "More By CraigRJess" and you can see my Penny Table, Vintage Ad table, and...

Hi Danton. Haven't tried the vintage Edison bulbs yet, they're very popular right now I noticed. I too will miss the incandescents. Glad to see the LED's are becoming cheaper and better quality though.
