Dormer tools made in Britain seem to be good quality. I wore out 3 of their tap handles in 2 months working on a gas plant, but they were marked made in Canada.
That will be a step (belt) head, threaded spindle nose (2 1/4 x 8 tip), probably 120v 3/4 hp. These are pretty good lathes for what they usually sell for.
The best lasting drill bits I have found are the German made Walther bits. For rough use I buy Can. Tire titanium nitrate bulk packs when they are on sale. There is a website on YouTube called Pierre’s Garage, he has good video on testing cheap and expensive drill bits by drilling thru circular...
