  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

If you’re in Winterpeg there’s a CN locomotive 9161 (built by General Motors in 1952) and 1911 Pullman passenger coach at the children’s museum at the forks, you can walk around inside the power unit. Very cool, spent a lot of time there when my son was little. I would like to see it again but...

    Jacobs Super Chuck or clone?

I don't know what to think about HHIP chucks. I recently ordered one off Amazon, keyless with NMTB30 taper and it had .006" runout. I sent it back. For almost $300 hard no! If it was 30 or 40 Bucks off Ali I would have lived with it. Just my experience.

    Peavey Mart Closing

You guys in other provinces are lucky. In MB biggest tank you can own is a B/40 cubic foot or an Albee tank which is about 80. At least our Peavy is still open for now
