I thought we were talking about ultrasonic knives on here but I can’t find anything. Anyway I was reading about them and this kickstarter came along. I’ve taken the plunge and committed to get one. The main reason is cleaning up 3D prints but I’m sure other uses will surface. It’s a risk it will materialize and be any good.
But they cut really nicely. I saw a demonstration of an industrial ultrasonic knife being used to cut frozen desserts: beautiful, clean cuts with almost no pressure and no buildup on the blade. IIRC, $20K and looked like a miniature guillotine.
