Wow gonna say that motor is a bit bigger then recommended for that little mill. Still some how I approve.

Most of the Taig machines I have seen (including on their website) have out-of-scale motors. I had 2nd hand one of their first generation lathes back in the late 90’s and they recommended a 1/4 Hp standard AC motor (before the days of DC PWM drives.
