brutal housekeeping, but that aside it seems like a good deal. Always liked the SM's.....for a brief period of time when they were still operating (in Mississauga) I took a fairly serious look at buying them. Not the heaviest made lathe, but very well made to a high standard. I was very impressed at the manufacturing and build quality and they did everything but the castings in house, gears, grinding, leadscrews, scraping etc
