Too big to fit in my shop, but seriously cool. Genuine 1967 Soviet pig iron, even includes the manual.

Did the soviets export machine tools? Or was this exported maybe after the collapse? Interesting.

Good luck finding parts
True enough.

Chances are that with a hacksaw, a hammer and some rusty metal, one can make all the parts that will ever break on this machine.

The West sometimes dismisses the Eastern Block / Russian equipment as inferior where in fact the stuff is actually quite unique in the features and quality of work it can do. Sure, the machines look crude (and probably are in many ways), but can work exceptionally well for the environment they were designed to work in.

I have a friend who ran a one-man jobbing machine shop. He did heavy mining stuff, could kill a Bridgeport in six months. He ran a pile of Russian gear, I dealt with him for 30 years and his go-to milling machine and biggest lathe were all Russian-made gear.
