This shouldn't be around long.

New to old hobby machines. Can you tell me if that has a powered cross feed ? From what I’ve read it looks like it. Can someone confirm that for me. I’m fairly new to this forum but love to read it and the humor on it.
Thanks.

It looks like it does have as it has the two-position lever to switch from longitudinal feed to cross feed.

The star wheel in the center/bottom of the apron engages the clutch for the crossfeed.

Here is a guide for moving if you do buy it. Two average size guys can move the lathe around with the chuck and tailstock removed.
You can find a manual here, http://www.vintagemachinery.org/mfgIndex/detail.aspx?id=1617&tab=3, if you don't already have one.

Are you familiar with metal lathes?

I just hopped back on to the thread and see there was more responses to my question. Sorry I did not respond.
Thankyou to all.
I am on the island and yes I did go look at the lathe. The lathe looked good to me. I am not a machinist but have been around machine shops most of my career as a Mill wright. I am retired now. I am looking for a small lathe for playing with. They are hard to come by. I’m hoping for 9 or 10 X 18 ish with a pile of tooling. Any help finding one would be greatly appreciated.
