Looks a lot like a second generation of my old Reed built in 1880 something.

It looks like it has the same spindle, bed, and stand design, but mine has no change gear box and was originally built without a motor. Instead it was powered by one of those huge overhead shop belt drive systems that ran every machine in the shop. It has a small electric motor on a back frame now.

It used to be my main lathe but I only use it for sanding and polishing now.

If I thought I could get 3 grand for it, it would be for sale yesterday.
