South Bend Basket Case - Kijiji - Nova Scotia

I don't know my South Bends well enough to know what we have here but I do see a flat belt and a QC gear box so I think it means old but not that old. The chucks might be 6"(?) It's an "estate sale".

It was in the middle of a re-furb which as I translate means chances are there are missing pieces and undiscovered MX required.

I'm not in the market for a project right now, I'm guessing it's only worth a couple of hundred as it sits?

Anyhow, in case anyone is interested......

Just out of curiosity, what would one of these be worth as it sits and in good working order?

From the serial number it appears to be pre-1947 so my initial guess seems to be wrong.

Any indication on the model?

South Bend stopped making single tumbler gearboxes in the early 50's. By the serial # it's a 9" from 1937-38.
