I’m very tempted, this thing would make a serious CNC router

It’s a CNC impact engraver used to make headstones. Uses a diamond bit.

Raise your hand if you ever thought of carving your own headstone from a big old surface plate.

No, but I have thought of using a gnarly granite field stone. One with variable erosion rates so it has eyebrows and character.

Make a flat spot and then engrave it with:

Susquatch is Here
Candle is still burning at both ends, stand back.
 
I think I just bought this. I’m willing to gamble, and at $500 my guess is the carriage components would make a great router even if I don’t use the impact engraver. Might see if I can bodge together a 3-in-1 using my existing laser and rotary spindle from my small desktop machines.

SWMBO has already asked me if it will engrave rocks…
