Rusty old lathe.

This needs inspection but if it all checks out and needs only minor repairs its a smoking deal. Its an 18" swing by 60" lathe. A bit big for a home shop but at least its not very long. For 3500 if it all works and bed is not too beaten its a good deal.

@Tom Kitta: The description says it's a 7"x55", but I presume it's actually 14"x55" as it's certainly no benchtop lathe! Maybe you were thinking the other lathe that @garball posted?
*edit: I just noticed the model number, 1860GE - so 18"x60" I guess!

If it was half that travel, so would fit in the space available, I know what I'd be buying! It's really sad seeing such a nice machine that's just been left out to rust before they bothered to get around to finding it a new home though.

The ways aren't rusted, parts that looked rusty may just have old dirty coolant baked on. It would need inspection for sure.

Could be a good deal for someone.
Curious about what's under the blue tarp next to it...

I think that's about right. Five ft bed, looks like a 9" from chuck centre to the ways.

If only it was a matter of distance! I'm located in Vancouver. Unfortunately Vancouver != space.

You should check out late night early morning airfare my sister in law just booked Calgary to Victoria for $55.00 then just split a rental car.
