Interesting little machine. Never seen one before so a little research show that it has a 5200 RPM top speed! I was thinking it was over priced but considering it’s uniqueness, perhaps not When you consider the cutters etc added in to the deal.
Are these the Rusnock collets that engage the spindle/nut?
For mounting say a drill chuck, the collet would grip the cylindrical shank adaptor or something?
Yeah, I sell mine, same for 1600 CAD. Collets are 80 extra if you want them. For 1800 I can get you (i.e. for $200) all the "1000" worth of tooling, except mine will be brand new from the store for the most part. I am a bit flexible on the price but not much.
3500 is too much for the machine.
1600 is a steal. I also place on eBay soon but for 2000 CAD + shipping so I can get US market.
afaik these are highly sought after and considered a good quality machine. i've not owned one, but I seems there is always someone about, quite anxious to find one.
Well I don't own one but I researched them a bit thinking at one time they might be suitable for me. I believe they are an extremely light machine and likely only suitable for aluminum milling or very light steel cuts. I understand the build quality was pretty good but very light and very basic. I'd be willing to pay $1500 for one only if it had $1000 worth of tooling along with it. Now if you are a collector or admirer of such, then anything goes. In my opinion if you actually want to do some milling then the money would be much better spent on a round column import machine of a more robust nature.
