I can't be the only one that thinks one of these anchored outside, or inside the shop door (if you have the height and space) would be amazing........A guy can dream can't he?

Absolutely a guy should have a jib crane. In fact, I’m in the middle of making two for amy garage Only 500 lb capacity, and they will be inside, but they will make things so much easier for me.

If buying one of the advertised one listed above (which in my opinion are overpriced) also factor in the time and money to construct a correctly sized concrete base for them.

There’s two shops locally to me that have done the jib crane anchored just outside their main door thing. More hook height than if under roof, and didn’t need to cut concrete inside their building, just a new pour for their base. A friend works at one of the shops and says it works very well for them. They do rust…
