Heck of a deal looks like a mill/drill as well although they call it a press??

Looks to be a knee mill. No tail stock on the lathe?

If I was closer........ I'd have a lathe to sell and an upgraded mill for free...... Not to mention some tooling money when I sell my existing one.

I dunno, but it is a nice sized knee mill for a basement shop..... A big step up from the Jet 15 that I have now.... Although, if it frustrates me enough I will finally get the K&T I drug home and keep shuffling around the shop trying to find it's happy place. I think it is there now, and not just because the 13" South Bend and 16" shaper have it boxed into the corner.
It's amazing what can be shoe horned into a 12x20 space.

So AB pricing for both would be roughly 4000 CAD depending on tooling - no tooling, working order 4000 CAD. And at that price if some tooling would come with both machines - I would call it a great deal at 4k. Heck even without any tooling it would be a great deal.

A similar size lathe in AB sold for around 2500 recently. Similar size milling machine sold like 2 days ago for 3000 with fees.

It is almost worth driving all they way to ON with a trailer and $1000 in gas to bring these two to AB. I am shocked this is still not sold - guess they have good life in ON. I am also shocked that with deals like this anyone buys anything at Busy Bee or similar stores - I mean this is a lot less then a new mini mill. Cost of new equipment of this size at BB is over 10,000 and I am unsure they still sell mills this big.

Well they probably do have a good life there but if "good" means money, then I would say Albertans must have it better to pay such crazy prices that we do. Ontario probably has less big money and more machines maybe.

After living for a very long time in ON I think the problem is heavily related to simply not having enough space to put any machines into. Having a home with a garage anywhere near Toronto is becoming a luxury only the rich can afford.

Just sent a message asking if there is a tail stock. At that price it might be worth to split with my BIL. While that mill looks huge, in my mind, I might be able to fit it in my shop.

Metal lathe, press and tools. SOLD

Who is surprised.

Good discussion about Toronto VS Calgary.

You couldn't pay me to live in Toronto. I'd pay to live in Alberta. But not divorced. Too far from grandkids for the wife.
