The mere fact that the tools are still in the original tubes means they were likely looked after and well worth the asking price. This is prolly a great deal for someone within driving distance.

I'd be looking at them if they were a couple thousand miles closer.

Don’t have time to dig through much of it tonight, but…

Damned if I know what I’ll do with it, but it sure is pretty.

Even more stuff than I expected, and a nice chat. A furniture (chairs) company that’s gotten out of modifying things in house. Sold a lathe already, fellow didn’t know what make. Still have a nice little ironworker, and a First Bridgeport clone. I doubt I can talk my boss into either, but the fellow said they were ‘very motivated’ to get rid of them. I’ll pass it along when he gets back to me with a price. :)

@Stuart Samuel Those First machines are well made, and as long as they are not abused they are very fine machines. A little sturdier than a branded Bridgeport machine IMO.

For someone in the area, 'nice little ironworkers' in Alberta go for more than 2000 dollars at times. That might be a deal for someone that could use it. I bought a manual one here, as that will serve me well.

Ironworkers seem to go for even more in Ontario, though maybe I’m looking in the wrong places. To my mind, $2000 would be an excellent price. (That’s practical Albertans for you)

Looks like this one’s a 50 ton model. Shears Ø1” bar.

That's not what I would call a 'nice little' ironworker. 5 and 10 ton models go for over 2K$ here. They do get cheaper when the get bigger, tho.
