Left hand drills

I have LH drills. Didn’t think they were worth the $s…I was wrong.

They are now the go-to for getting out busted-off threaded RH fasteners. It makes such a big difference in that application.
That's exactly what I use mine for. I have a 1/4" one at work that I have had for decades that I sharpened to a very acute cutting edge that is the absolute perfect tool for getting out 4-40 flat heads with a stripped socket. It either grabs the head and spins it out no prob, or drills the head out, allowing me to remove the part and grab me a stub of what's left to spin out by hand. Probably the most borrowed tool I have in the shop, as we use a ton of 4-40 flat heads, and they very easily strip out rendering them useless.

I forget what sizes I ordered from KBC for home, but it was a variety from about 1/8" to 3/8" I think. Same for the taps. I've used them quite a bit for making some turnbuckle type linkages for clamping, and adjusting features on the fixtures I build at work. Very handy.

I really wish we had a KMS here in Ontario :(. Princess is good. Peaveymart is a joke. Would be nice to have another option for similar stuff.

I thought you have a KBC or two out there? I refuse to shop at KMS anymore, too many past fails.

We do have a KBC in Toronto, but I'd rather just have stuff shipped than to have to drive into the city. I've had stuff shipped from KMS before, and they've always been good. Just seems like a good store to have around if you needed a shop related item on a weekend. They've a pretty unique selection of goods that other retailers don't carry under one roof.

TSC now Peavey mart is that store for me here. Every.single.time I stop there for something they either don't have it, or it's twice the price of anywhere else. The only thing I go there for is when they put cut off discs on for $1/per, Chicken feed, and welding gas. Although I've been burned a few times driving over there after calling to confirm they actually have a bottle, and them not having any stock when I actually get there. The store in Bowmanville is useless, the one in Peterborough surprisingly even worse than that, but the one in Lindsey is actually not bad. It's a bit further away, but I know they'll actually have a bottle when I get there.

lol, I'm in the six and have them ship stuff to avoid the drive. The drive from hell (401) only to get to the urban sprawl from hell. Another vote for having some LH drills, a great way to get broken fasteners out

Good ol Toronto, where you can drive for 2 hours, and still be in Toronto.

Shipping is stupid cheap now. I used to avoid it, and would go pick stuff up, but when you factor in time and gas, it's just cheaper and easier to ship it. Especially for a store like princess auto, where it can cost you an extra hundred dollars going into the store and finding extra stuff you didn't know you needed lol.

When I drove truck I always waited in Orrilla til 2AM and then went in. I had the cops radio frequency programmed in my radio. So I'm driving along and out of a collector in front of me comes a pickup with flames and smoke coming out of his RR tire well. I got on the radio and told the cops, as this guy was using 2 lanes. They were VERY excited about me having their frequency so I went dark before they could identify me. This left them with nothing to do but investigate.
After they arrived, I heard much laughter on the channel, and conversation, as this was a guy from the US, completely pissed, with a bottle of Jack Daniels and a bag of weed, and he was not concerned about anything, not even his burning truck.
