If it was real in the first place. Why anyone would use exactly the same picture as on an ad from 6 months ago?

I think it's actually the third time I've seen that same image in a Kijiji ad, all in Calgary.

I think it's actually the third time I've seen that same image in a Kijiji ad, all in Calgary.

Probably etransfer scam - they use an image of an actual product sold years ago and post attractive price. When 100 people contact them they "fish" telling victim that someone else is close by and they need to "hold" their spot with etransfer payment. Once they have the $ they are gone.

This is why you see the *same* image.

They may even go as far as creating 100s of Kajiji accounts, aging them, posting small fake ads to create history to "cover" any suspicions. And then BOOM, they strike. For someone in Pakistan $400 CAD is 1/3 of college admission fee & 1st year fee.
