The same concept is used in metalworking centers. The bigger cones are useful for supporting tubing for example. the good ones can be brutally expensive but one can find lots of less expensive (and variable quality) offshore models. Some have different attachment modes & tapers so beware, may not be interchangeable with another system unless they copied it properly LoL. Lee Valley might have them as a woodworking accessory, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are dedicated to the wood world.
