Jacobs Flex Collet L0 Taper

I couldn't come to a deal with the seller because I was a bit wary of the taper adapter being DIY. The seller offered to let me take it home to try it out before buying to check for run out issues. I'm not in the Edmonton area so I couldn't try it out. Could be worthwhile if you're in the Edmonton area. Only one collet included.

If you are patient they do show up on Edmonton Kijiji a couple of times a year. I bought one last year for 450 and it came with a full set of collets.

We have 2 boxes of collets here as someone pitched out the collet chuck...If you buy that thing let me know before we throw them out - I wqill get the numbers off the boxes and post

Throw ... them out? Collets are probably 100 used (easily). Ruberflex collets are expensive and hard to get.

For 450 that is way too expensive. You can get cheaper off eBay even (!)

For 450 with full set of collets is an OK price may be even a deal.

There is one on Ebay right now for 350 with another 50 for shipping (all USD).

I saw one for $200 USD plus shipping - so around 300 CAD all in on eBay recently.

They show up on eBay auction from time to time and sell depending on the nose of the lathe - if you have popular like D1-3 or D1-4 expect to pay more... if less popular then ... well less. I cannot find it now - maybe sold.

It is getting more difficult to find good deals on Ebay and the shipping that some sellers are charging is crazy.
