I have always wanted a small drill press for model making and had been going to make a universal pillar tool with sensitive drilling attachment and buy an Albrecht keyless chuck for it...
Then about a month ago I saw one for sale, and reached out to the seller ready to snap it up. Then they took it off the market. Then last week when I contacted them about another item I missed out on they told me that the woman who owned the drill was ready to sell. I finally found a reason to pick it up in Richmond Hill tonight.
Cameron Micro Drill Press Model 164 with Albrecht 0-1/8″ Keyless Chuck! I'm so stoked. This has a custom made motor and a top speed of 30,000 rpm. The spindle run out at the chuck mounting taper is within 0.0002″
I just need a new drive belt and to make a belt guard.
