Horizontal mill, Super 7, Douglas Shaper

That Myford is an ML7. I would love to get a little horizontal mill in the next year or two, what do people think that this Atlas is worth by itself?

Atlas / Douglas / Myford . - $10,000 (Aldergrove)

Atlas horizontal mill with some tooling , Douglas metal shaper and a Myford bench top lathe with lots of tooling . Will be sold as a set I’m not splitting up . Will throw in a nice post drill as yard art . Good basement set up . All machines in excellent Working order .

I paid CA$1400 for my Atlas mill, with a boat load of cutters. Another sold in Toronto a while ago for CA$1200.

I think he will be sitting on this bundle a long time waiting for the asking price.
the mill e.g. needs arbor spacers (none visible), a vise and a drill chuck and of course cutters. It also looks to be missing the feed stop and one or more of the chip covers (one missing on the vertical part of knee), the belt engagement handle is not original. Nice paint job of course. It's not a $2000 machine IMO

Asking price is way, way, way too high. The ML7 without accessories is around 1500 - there is probably one in Calgary sitting at that price for months.
With accessories maybe 2000 max.

That little shaper could be worth 1500.

Milling machine another 1500?

Drill press max 150.

So all separately 5000 or so. But as package it should be less, maybe 4000?

Exactly - it's interesting that some sellers seem to think 'a package deal' is more attractive than separate items.
I think it's often a case of : "I can't be bothered (or I don't have the knowledge) to separate the machines and the accessories that belong to each one, so just give me a big pile of cash and take it all away!"

What do you think of this deal?

That was wayyyyy better deal. Not even close. May I point out that his ML7 was / is worth at least 3500 and if he has indeed lots of spares / extra tooling its more like 4000. Using 1500 for each other machine and ignoring lots of supposed extra tooling we get a price of 8500. So package discount to 7500 seems not too bad. Heck, I am sure people talked him even more down in price. However, as you can see it was not a bad deal.
