I have the long bed model, 42 “ between centers, weighs 2000 lbs, 3 hp , 3 phase, 16 speeds.

In the 90’s I had one like this with the copy attachment I bought of of Modern Tool.

I thought it was a good lathe and never had any problems with it.

That looks like the same footprint as my 10k..... Wish that was closer, I would be listing 2 10k's and a 9" South Bend.

Actually the short bed model is pretty close to a 10k with the longest bed, much heavier however

It's everything above the 10k, rigidity, speed, power. With this, carbide makes sense to me, on the 10k, while I often use it, because of the lack of everything above I find myself going through inserts faster than I would like. If I were closer..... And the timing a little better..... And.....
