Scam Alert. Members are reminded to NOT send money to buy anything. Don't buy things remote and have it shipped - go get it yourself, pay in person, and take your equipment with you. Scammers have burned people on this forum. Urgency, secrecy, excuses, selling for friend, newish members, FUD, are RED FLAGS. A video conference call is not adequate assurance. Face to face interactions are required. Please report suspicions to the forum admins. Stay Safe - anyone can get scammed.
How does the scam work? Do they jump me for my cash when I show up to buy it? I get that the price screams scam I just can't figure out how the scam works.
They will tell you other people are supposed to get it, but if you are really interested they will hold it for you if you send a deposit. Whoever sends the deposit first will get the lathe
Except there is no lathe, no address, they likely aren't even in that city, and whatever deposit you send you will never see again
if it's too good to be true...it probably is right?
send me a video of it running...then maybe I'd think about it...
scammy buggers don't deserve the air they're breathing...
