Tempting... the 1 1/2" hole in the "HEASTOCK" shouldn't hurt anything.

Go figure!

Somedays you just can't piss a drop. The guy can't sell at 2500 so he posts "make an offer" and gets 3500.

I need another coffee......
what actually happened is that the woman listed the lathe with no idea of what to charge. The woman was selling the lathe for her widowed mothing in law.

someone immediately responded to the ad stating the price was far too low and suggested relisting at a higher price of $3000. So the woman changed the ad to make an offer, facebook doesn't allow removal of the old price.

I then contacted them to ask a few questions about what comes with, how old etc and provided the woman with data I've collected on 12x36 gear head lathe sales over the past 5 years. I also gave her far betting information to share with potential buyers about the main benefits of this lathe over some cheaper belt drive screw mount chuck type lathes. She apparently passed that along to potential buyers and was able to get a higher offer from one of them.

by the way, the same seller has now listed their father in law's King model PDM-30 mill with power feed for $2600
