The lathes.co.uk article mentions that the column is powered so I’d imagine it’s not able to rotate.

Built in digital scales, power feed on all axes, power quill feed etc.

That's a 50,000 dollar CDN Swiss made round column mill Well regarded and apparently with a quite accurate key system to keep the head aligned.

While a precision round column Swiss made machine back in the day was the cats meow, the new swiss made machines don't have round columns for the same reason we swear at round columns today.

$5,000.00 for a collector item I understand. $5,000.00 for a precision round column mill that you want to use.......well...NO.
