If I thought I could get 500 for my old 1880s FE Reed, it would be listed. Looks like this one's mother. But I'd really rather gift it to a young wanna be machinist to learn on. It was an amazing teacher for me. Someday maybe I'll restore it.
Sold it today for full asking price + $50 guy offered me to deliver it. The headstock bearing were nice and tight, minimal scoring for the year but ran well and didn't overheat the caps. Compound feed was in 1/32" and the crossfeed was in 0.010 increments. Old feller was looking at it for his grandson? who was into knife making, knew a little about lathes but wanted something that didn't cost a lot to work with.
There isn't much for that kind of machinery out here and I bought it to use until I picked up my 13" Southbend. (I love the old iron too!).
