End mill sharpener, $700, Mississauga, ON

I have already tried it on endmills and it is very easy for 2 flute. I am working on the procedure to do multi flute with center cutting. Can be done just not very well documented anywhere.

Edge of cutters are easy with the right attachment.

Drills are easy. Center cutting needs a proceedure, again not well documented.

Time permitting I am putting one together.

Once you get your head round how it adjusts it is similar in function to a Journeyman Grinder but smaller and less money with a little sacrifice in lack of Airbearing on the spindle but that can be arranged (rats another project to add to the list).

I'll post it again while tools and machines make things easier, it all comes down to the user to make them perform. I have see stuff done with hand tools that exceeds what is done on modern machines by true master tradesmen, just takes a little longer.

Find a copy of the Quorn Tool And Cutter Grinder book. I t was based upon the same basic style of machine, and like as not, it will take very little translation to make the flexibility of the machine type apparent. Covers both multi-facet and conical style drill sharpening, IIRC.

"Edge of cutters are easy with the right attachment." Ayup. But without that, it is not a simple thing to pull off.

I have all the attachments and the correct grinding wheels (and that is part of the secret).

And thanks for that hint on the book I'll go look.
