One set looks slightly better than the other, but man, those are sadly corroded on the important surfaces. I think these enlarged bosses are meant to precisely slide fit inside the micrometer body thimble up to a machined stop on the boss. Might be the same surface condition inside the body.
Meh. The one set looks like it might be of use, still.
