The same lady who is selling the Aciera F1 has decided to try and sell the deckel in disassembled form to see if there is any interest as it is now

Kinda happy I don't have a working truck right now...

There is going to have to be a pretty good collection of "The Rest" of the parts that are loose around the place, to start to saying that the parts are all accounted for. Like half the vise is not shown, just the base and back jaw.
Seeing the overarm that the vertical head runs on, would be confidence inspiring. as well as apparently, whatever box all the fasteners, missing handles, and the like, ended up in.

Sorta reminds me of what I read about Race Car Engines. When asked why they strip a new in box engine all the way down to the block, and then put it back together, the guy asking, was told, "The engine comes assembled, because that is the easiest way to make sure ALL the parts are there!" followed by "We strip it and make sure it is Assembled RIGHT!".

It is an MT2 taper machine, the spindles on those are problematic to rebuild. Easy to get in over your head with an unkown Deckel that you can't power up. Will be tough to test the spindle with it off the machine.
An indexer is eu700+ plus shipping and fees.

I love Deckel machines, but this is a serious project. I'd love to restore it, but not at a very high cost. This is gonna take hundreds of hours to get everything ready for reassembly, then a lot more to get it assembled and working. I've heard reports about Deckel spindles. I wouldn't mind giving it a try.

Ye that is one of the big concerns on top of not being able to test the hydraulics and unfortunately being apart doesn't help much either

@Dabbler

Ye it is a big project depending how one want to attack it. Good part is it wasn't in the process of complete disassemble and only partial disassemble for cleaning more then rebuilding. So that's a plus

That is a MUCH better representation of what is and isn't there!

I would suggest setting up an online Album, full of those and as many more pictures as can be got, as opposed to the limited number of pics that may be allowed in the advert posting. Stuff like that will make it that much more like to catch the eye of someone who has the ambition and the time, to deal with the project! At least, in My opinion!

I have a fair bit of MT2 tooling, so that doesn't bother me near as much as my running about fourteen or so projects behind, as far as getting any of them started, let along in motion! LOL!

Ye she went around shop snapped bunch of pictures of misc stuff and I sifted threw them and organized them bit better for her and sent them to her via email so she can then forward them to possible buyers. As the first question any serious buyer would ask is to see if its complete. I just hope she doesn't get beat around too much from interested buyers. As some people can be very rude when it comes to projects and there is the flippers who would for sure try and take advantage of the situation.

Its actual price is highly dependent on if it has the 90 degree table, and if it has the universal rotary table. From these pictures, and completely disassembled, I am not seeing this price.

I can understand why it wasn't reassembled. These machines a very complex, and have gear-and-shaft power feeds in all directions, with hundreds of parts, many of them non trivial to assemble. It is far easier to document the disassembly, marking the seals, adapters, and bearing directions and locations. From a box of parts this is a complete c**p shoot. Many of the parts from one power feed *look* like they can go in one of the others, but they don't.

I have a lot of experience rebuilding machines - and I think it has less than even chances of working again.

The fixed 90 deg table is there, not sure about the universal one (there are 2 tables visible). The universal isn't generally as desireable due to it being less rigid although personally it is the one I was determine to get due to my smallish work piece needs :)

The machine is actually not torn apart that much. The overarm that the vertical spindle mounts on is off, as is the vertical spindle. Neither are in pieces and it is normal to remove that overarm to use the mill in horizontal mode. Hand wheels are off, a good thing to prevent lead screws getting bent while the machine sits around in the shop. The vertical head doesn't appear to have the grease fitting so it is not a bushing sleeve spindle (which apparently are to be avoided like the plague).

Not shown is the electrical cabinet. If there isn't one then perhaps the motor is already a 220 3phase instead of the more challenging 380v 3 phase 2 speed on the originals.

Were I still in the market for one I would happily fly out to see it in person. At the price there is a lot of room to order parts from EU.

A few thoughts (I have had two 50s-60s FP1s )

-MT4 spindles (not MT2), the later ones (dial type) had a 40 taper
- looks to me like its a plain bearing vertical head. I'm not 100% sure but I have taken apart one (or two?) heads with a spindle nose that looked just like that and it was a plain bearing (with two ball thrust bearings). that said I had a machine just like this one (MT4 with lever gearbox and on/off button under Y axis gauge block holder) and it came with a roller bearing vertical head (that was completely blown). all fp1s of this era should have a plain bearing horiz spindle though
- I think this version of FP1 would have come with the huge electrical cabinet. the slightly earlier version has a lever switch between the speed / feed gearboxes and that version doesn't have the electrical cabinet. Not a big deal cause it's easy to fit any sort of motor in there... I had a random motor connected to a light switch for a while before I had 3ph set up in my shop haha.

I think the asking price is kinda high? doesn't come with much for tooling and it's also in pieces lol
