Maybe for somebody with very limited space and small projects. This is one of those compromises that.... well at best is called a compromise.

I going to be nice, for the right person it could be the ideal setup, but when you look at all the compromises you are better off with a dedicated lathe and milling on it directly (using various methods, and yes there are several). You'll have a more rigid base and resultant better accuracy.
