Covel Optical Comparator, $350

Anyone in the area able to take a look at it for me?

they said :

We are at 630 Read Road. We are open Mon-Thurs 8-4 and Friday's 8-Noon.

Nice talking to you Dabbler. I am heading to St Catharines tomorrow for an install. I’ll head over there afterward. I may call you while I’m there if you pick up and are available. Probably around noon our time.

Thanks to @Martin w for taking time out of his day to go and look at it for me. Burnt out bulb. Micrometer dial only in Z. EZ DRO in Y, and a digital vernier in X. Needs TLC, a project. The bezel only has a cross hair, rather than multiple graduations and angles.

We left a smaller standing offer, but I doubt they will call us.

You may be surprised. I think we may get a call. They had a couple nice granite surface plates and height gauge. They also had about a half dozen punch presses For $200 each.
The lady that was there was super nice. She was very friendly and helpful. She spent a lot of time showing the optical comparator, even though she wasn’t the one who knew about it.
iI picked up a nice 2” Williams wrench and a USA made 3/4” ratchet for 30 bucks.

The lady said she would give me a call on pricing for the surface plates. She wasn't sure if they were selling them yet or waiting until the end when they closed down.

Hi Dabbler
I picked it up today. It’s been a long bit of waiting for negotiation with the seller for the right price. I think you will be pleased with it. The last picture is the extra screen he sent with it and the extra lenses. I turned it on and put a bolt in front of the screen to see what it looked like.
