Ummm... Edumacation time. So a cold cut saw has a toothed metal blade, as opposed to a chop saw which has the abrasive type blades? Is that the thrust?

no exactly...the replacement blades are worth a mint..For the machine I built out of an aluminum saw .I wait til the Steel Demon units go on sale. This saw here, way beefier than mine, just in the base and castings...
I magnified the picture and it is a very fine tooth cold-saw blade.
Smokin' deal if you have the need or desire.
I made my bones on a Brobo 350 with dual air vises. Broke a few blades (3 to be exact) learning the ins and outs. I didn't tell Fred about the third one until I had the money to pay for it. $130 in 1980.
