There is a piece added outboard of the vice fixed jaw. It would helps support thin material or material that can’t be held securely in the vice.

That reminds me I still need to make an outfeed table for mine.....been wanting to do it for years, just never high enough up the priority list. One with a fence like that would be pretty handy too.

Yes, that would be a nice addition. If you ever run across closeups, I'd be interesred in seeing them. That improvement to my bandsaw, which looks very similar, would be a plus.
