Lenmark is legit, they just tend to sometimes want too much for their products. My ex-employer bought their Monarch 62 from Denmark, service was good and pricing very reasonable.

The CL ad is for $9,000, the Lenmark shop ad has the same machine listed at $9,500 on sale for $8,900. So the $600 saving is in fact only $100. Sounds like the car dealers.

I've been to Lenmark. They have a lot of stuff in their sheds & yards, Been around for years, not shady at all.

I've been to and bought from Lenmark as well but I won't do it again. Any business that raises the price and then calls it a sale when they put the price back to about where it was to start with,,,,,,,,,, doesn't score high for me.
Personal opinion and the way I feel, you draw your own conclusions. The whole point of this post was to remind people to do their homework when buying.

Used to be prices stayed steady for a long time, with occasional price increases. Now the internet, CRM software, and weird algorithms allows sellers to vary prices at will. For example:
- Uber prices go up drastically at high demand times (New Year's eve)
- Amazon prices fluctuate according to inventory, how long you hovered over the item, whether you're a new buyer or a Prime Member, etc.
- Supply and demand. I can't get some bike parts right now, Shimano is backordered 12-18 months. But I can buy them on Amazon/Ebay for triple the retail price!

So, agreed, do your homework before buying. But methinks that in 2022, price fluctuations are the norm . So they allegedly raised the price, then called it a sale. So what? Nobody is forcing anyone to buy it.

Canadian tire has been doing it for years. Reg price $199, on sale (every 3 months) for $49. Then you see people trying to sell it on marketplace/kijiji (after a sale) for about $120, and they list the reg price as a comparison. Buyer beware, same as always.

I see Lenmark listings all the time.

I'd only ever buy from them if they were the last place on earth that had a product I need... emphasis on the need.
