I got excited...for all of a minute...then plunked in the USD to CDN exchange...40% markup...
instantly added over a hundred bucks, not including taxes to the order...
that's a square kick in the dick...but it is what it is if a guy doesn't want to put any faith in Vevor etc...

Wow, what a deal - VFDs for everyone, First round on me boys!

I got excited...for all of a minute...

Me too! I thought he was gunna buy us all a VFD. Then I realized he meant beer. Pretty sure he would lose in court........ But most of you heathens would prolly prefer beer anyway and then show up as character witnesses!

They are in a different realm then vevor. They are CSA approved, used in industry, and stand behind their product completely.

Compared with other vendors they are a bargain. Vevor and Amazon are bottom of the barrel.

If you want a price anchor at the other end, look at Yaskawa VFD’s. Then the AD VFD’s seem very reasonable, which they are for what you get.

They carry weg cfw series. I was a tech for them for about 5 years. Its good stuff at a decent price. I have not used the durapulse.

Sounds like a darn good recommendation coming from you!

Do you know off the top of your head if they have a 220V 3hp model with external Resistive Braking?

@TorontoBuilder did nail that for the dc braking.

They are used by a lot of people. I can’t really argue with what I’ve seen from them for simple applications. My belt grinder soon to be one of them.

Even with the exchange they are still significantly less spendy then almost all other “legit” options that will pass an electrical inspection.

I wouldn’t necessarily use them for everything, and would tend to spend the money on a brand name industrial drive for fancier stuff, obviously any sort of positioning or true constant torque, large pumps, etc, would get something better/different.

But for like a conveyor belt or a belt grinder, or a drill press…. Man… they are good.

Even an acreage or farm yard size constant pressure irrigation system….. durapuls does it fine.

They also literally air freight replacements next day for free when things go wrong…..

I’m not a fanboy necessarily but they’ve been really good and their value is undeniable.

I mean if money didn’t exist everything would be yaskawa just saying…. But money is real and for me, it’s not unlimited.
