If I lived closer to that thing I could probably get "permission" from the boss just so she could commandeer that very early Singer Sewing base.
I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing! My wife has the singer her mother brought over from Italy when they moved to Canada. It is paddle driven and can easily sew Leather. Today, it's mostly a centerpiece on the stairway balcony along with an old wire dress form. That old base under that lathe would look AMAZING there!
