One of the shops I used to work in had one in the middle of the shop. It was babied and you'd get scolded for setting anything on it. It was for layout and inspection ONLY. The shop hacker poured a resin layup on it once and if it wasn't for the fact he was the managers brother, the owner would have strung him up like a buck and gutted him in front of everyone. lol.

Cold cream table for ice cream :D.....Hmmm, just gave me an idea for over the holidays.......

I could probably get her on my side if I finished the backyard patio/pavilion and used that as a table. We've talked about that before, and she loves the idea. The problem is finding a very cheap large surface plates now. I remember them being super cheap back in the post 2008 recession auctions. I don't remember what the one I talked about above went for, but a lot of the smaller 3x6 plates went for under $200 from that auction, and another shop I worked at too. Some went for under $100. Basically giving them away. Have not see that since, and probably wont ever again. Maybe in the next few years? Hopefully not.....

She'd be pissed if I spent 55k on one though. Not that I have $500, let alone 55k for spending like that anyway lol.
