Actually shaper does not take that much space. It is now seen as "fun" thing to have. Once their number dropped and they became scarce *everyone* wants one.
Less than 10 years ago a 24in shaper was less than scrap - I know - I passed up one like that. Then few years ago I got a tiny 13" for 1500 (!)
Shapers are now hot b/c you cannot get more. I only expect shaper prices to go up. As smaller shaper prices went up, people looked at 20-24" shapers and said, come on, if I pay less for bigger I make space. This is why bigger shaper prices went up as well.
