Needed a motor for a project I’m working on. Checked PA’s website and saw this one. At $40 in the surplus section, but not a lot of details or photos.


It’s on a oddball frame, but I can make it work for my needs.

Thought I’d share in case someone need one. Looks to be good American make motor! Split phase so no capacitors too!

56C is a fairly standard frame size in my experience. Meant to be mounted by the face.

The J prefix is not a nema standard code, the manufacturer has added that to denote something. My guess is non-standard shaft length from the face.
